Daylight saving time (abbreviated DST), also sometimes erroneously referred to as daylight savings time,
is the practice of advancing clocks during summer months so that evening daylight lasts longer,
while sacrificing normal sunrise times. Typically, regions that use daylight saving time adjust clocks forward
one hour close to the start of spring and adjust them backward in the autumn to standard time.

Most of the United States begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and reverts to standard time on the first Sunday in November. In the U.S., each time zone switches at a different time.
In the European Union, Summer Time begins and ends at 1:00 a.m. Universal Time (Greenwich Mean Time).
It begins the last Sunday in March and ends the last Sunday in October. In the EU, all time zones change at the same moment.
